On December 17, 1903, Wilbur and Orville Wright made the first controlled flights in a powered aircraft and changed the world forever. Wright State University is named for these Dayton natives who invented the world’s first successful airplane.
Wright State offers an accredited, award-winning education at an affordable price. You can make friends from around the world on our ethnically and culturally diverse campuses while still getting a true American university experience. Wright State has also produced award-winning alumni like Oscar winner Hannah Beachler and Grammy-winning Nicole Scherzinger.

The University Center for International Education also organizes the weekly CONVERSATION CLUB, where you can practice your English skills with native speakers.
